Does this tell me which plan to choose?
No. It helps you compare plans you are already considering. It does not recommend a retailer or plan.
Will every plan produce an estimate?
No. If a plan uses complex demand, seasonal, stepped or time-of-use pricing that cannot be matched reliably to the bill information, the tool will tell you to review it manually.
Which locations are covered?
The AER data currently covers New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. It does not provide Australia-wide plan coverage for Western Australia or the Northern Territory.
Is my bill stored?
The bill is securely processed to prefill the comparison and is not retained by Money Detective after processing. Review the Privacy Policy for further information.
