Children : Activities
- The internet is a great source of obtaining free activities for your children. There are free online story books, free drawing, free puzzles, free jokes etc.
- Help your children to do up a scrap book. They can fill it up with photos, stories, cartoons, drawings, pictures from magazines etc. All you need is some scissors, glue, a big scrap book and some imagination.
- Look for competitions for your child to enter. This might be a colouring competition, best story, poetry etc. It will provide them with hours of entertainment preparing to enter and you never know they might win themselves a prize.
- Set up a bibs and bobs box for your child. You can put all sorts of interesting bits and pieces in there. Your child will love sorting through this and looking at all the items. It might include some old interesting shaped buttons, stones, small figurines, small wooden artefacts, small toys, fridge magnets, shells etc.
- Look for free activities in your area. It might be a free movie or band in a local park, frog spotting in the bush, craft day at your church etc. Some Councils also provide a website that lists all the free activities available in your town.
