Babies - Out and About

Taking your bub out into public can initially be a daunting experience. However if you are prepared it makes the trip out much easier. See our 5 saving money tips below to help you prepare for going out with your little one:

• Prams
  • Before purchasing a pram make a checklist of features you will need in a pram. Consider the following:
    • How long you want the pram to carry the child – do you want a pram only initially whilst the baby is an infant, or when the child is older or a combination?
  •  Also make a note of the features you are happy to compromise on and the ones that are a must have.  
  • If you are buying a pram online, look for customer comments and how they found the pram.  Also check the refund policy to see if you can return the pram if you aren’t happy with the purchase.
• Slings / Baby Carriers
  • Jump online and research the carrier that best suits you and your family.  Consider:
    • Brand – this will affect re-saleability
  • You could download a pattern off the internet or buy a pattern and make your own sling. Make sure that you buy quality material to ensure your sling is sturdy.
