Pets
- Put the costs of pet ownership into your budget. Include all of the fees you are likely to incur including vet care, vaccinations, kennels / pet sitting, food, accessories, worming, grooming, bathing, training.
- Research and learn about the proper care and nutrition for your pet before you go out and buy one. This will save you having problems with your animals which can work out to be very costly.
- Purchasing pets can be expensive especially if you buy pure bred animals from animal breeders. Lots of animal shelters have animals for a good price and they are usually vet checked, wormed, de-sexed.
- Looking after your pet yourself is much cheaper than getting someone else to do. So washing your own pet, taking it for a walk and grooming your own pet will save you money.
- Some products for pets are available online or at discount pharmacies. Check out these products and compare the prices of these to your local pet warehouse, vet clinic, supermarket.
